PHYSICAL EXERCISE FOR THE REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS WITH FIBROMYALGIA

Abstract

In the present study the theoretical foundations of Fibromyalgia and the importance of physical exercise to assist in the rehabilitation of patients afflicted with this disease are discussed. It contains four workshops to counsel patients about the characteristics of the disease and the importance of systematic physical rehabilitation, as well as aerobics, stretching and postural correction. Within the scientific methods of theoretical order employees they are: historical - logical analysis - synthesis, induction - deduction and observation, interview and measurement within the level of empirical knowledge and mathematical statistics: descriptive statistics and trend analysis. The results show that the applied physical exercises contributed to the physical rehabilitation of patients with fibromyalgia, considered as an element of vital importance as a disease that affects thousands of people in Cuba and the world. The conclusions and recommendations address the need for further studies on this topic.
