Methodology for the selection of talents in the musical gymnastics aerobia deportiva

Abstract

Aerobic Gymnastics is a competitive sport worldwide. In Cuba, it has presented limitations for its progress in international, national and provincial events. In Granma province, in particular, there are inadequacies related to the talent selection process in this discipline, because as a sports specialty it does not cross the steps of the pyramid of the High Cuban Performance. For this reason, the scientific problem was formulated in the research: How to favor the selection of talents for Aerobic Sports Gymnastics in practitioners of this province. A methodology was proposed for the selection of talents in this sports discipline based on physical indicators that integrate the motor condition of the best-performing practitioners. The established indicators allow for the comprehensive characterization of athletes in the physical order as possible talents and favors the evaluation process to integrate the enrollment of this sport in the province.
