Abstract

Worldwide, there is a concern to guarantee food as a basic human right. The new scenarios and the food accessible for human consumption, make up a food culture, which in adolescents manifests itself in inadequate eating habits. Therefore, a food education through school is necessary and School Physical Education can contribute to educate for this purpose. In studies conducted in Ecuador, no food education background has been found through Physical Education. A guide is designed to guide food education during these classes in the Upper General Education Sublevel (EGB). The proposal made provides Physical Education teachers with the theoretical-methodological orientation effective in the subject and the practice of physical activities for the development of healthy lifestyles.
