CrediT taxonomy and Preprints servers

2023-01-27

With a greeting to the entire community of researchers that follows DeporVida, we communicate that, in order to apply to the SciELO database, we will be renewing some aspects that have to do with the publication process, in order to establish an Open Science policy.

The authors must incorporate to the original articles, the authorship contribution report, based on the CRediT taxonomy. This taxonomy allows to differentiate and recognize the contribution of each author in the article and personalizes the responsibilities played by each of the authors in the scientific academic production of the research document. Its main objective is to provide credit to all those involved in the investigation process. Its main objective is to provide credit to all those involved in the investigation process. The delimitation of the participation of each individual ensures that their work is recognized during the communication of the results.

We will also be accepting articles located on Preprints servers. The modality of arbitration is modified from double-blind to open peer review.

As for the Preprints:

The publication of Preprints is not considered prior publication, although the journal will issue a document with the corresponding data, depending on the status of the article in the editorial flow.

Authors must disclose the details of the Preprint, when submitting the manuscript or at any other time during their consideration in DeporVida. Once the Preprint is published, it is the author's responsibility to ensure that the document record is updated with a publication reference, including a URL link to the published version of the article on the journal's website.

Preprints can be cited in the reference list of articles that are under review as shown below:

Author, A. (Year). Title of the manuscript. Preprint. URL
