A PROPOSAL OF A METHODOLOGICAL ALTERNATIVE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PHYSICAL STRENGTH IN BOXING PUPILS
Abstract
The goal of this proposal is to design a methodological alternative for the development of physical strength in boxing pupils; First Graders, (thirteen year old category). To implement this work, theoretical and empirical methods were taken into account. These methods facilitated a better assessment of the different elements that define the Scientific Problem, as well as the possibility of finding an adequate scientific answer to these elements. Among them we have: the analytic-synthetic, inductive-deductive, the logical one, the observation, the assessment of capacity, and the minimum control experiment or pre-experiment. As a sample group we took first year athletes from the Sports School in Holguin in the year 2002.The methodological alternative designed for four years was implemented in them; and the outcome was an increase in the strength levels both generally and specifically, without affecting the biological development of the group. They were able to put into practice their new capacities in practical combat situations, with a positive direct incidence in the first level sportive achievements obtained. In a period that spanned four years, they had a third and two second national awards, with five promotions to the National Training Center of Higher performance; and two athletes participated in the First World Championship for young athletes; One of then won the silver medal in it. The sample group finished their category without injuries or muscular deformations, and even kept this condition in succeeding categories.Key words. methodological alternative, physical strength in boxing pupils.
