Abstract

The research focuses on the professional training process for the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Sports, linked to the formation of professional pedagogical competences in 4th year students of the subject Handball. Due to its content and its structural and functional elements, it is intended to carry out an initial diagnosis with a view to its realisation. Within this training, one of its main basic ideas as a subject is the training of the professional in the sports specialty, with projection from the theoretical-methodological preparation of the future sports coach. In order to study this training, the aim was to find out the current state of the professional teaching competences of 4th year handball students at the Institute of Physical and Sports Education. They are unable to solve the problems of sports training in their treatment and evaluation of the demands and influences of professional teaching competences on other learning. This study also integrates theoretical and empirical methods, which have helped to determine the deficiencies that lead to the existing problem. The results obtained also reveal that it is necessary to improve the content of the subject in order to achieve the objectives based on the competences that the future professional must master.
