Abstract

Fine motor skills are an element of great importance due to its marked presence in the daily lives of people, mainly children. It is more important to simulate their development in those who have autism spectrum disorder since in directly influences their lives, being indispensable in their formation and social integration. The Dream Blue Project is one of the spaces that promotes the ways to stimulates this element and it has among its purposes, through physical activities, to improve skills and abilities depending on the diagnosis, compensate for the manifestations or limitations that living with the disorder represents to achieve its social insertion and achieve improvement in its quality of life. This research is developed within the framework of the project, with the objective of determining the development of fine motor skills of children with autism spectrum disorder participating in it. During it, theoretical methods were used such as analysis and synthesis and inductive-deductive, empirical methods such as interview, observation and psychomotor tests, as well as the percentage analysis of mathematical statisticians. As the main results, it was possible to obtain a characterization of the fine motor development of the children who attend the Dream in Blue project, finding the greatest difficulties in grasping with digital clamps and hand-eye coordination.
