Abstract

The objective of the study was to develop a safe microdosing protocol as a complementary therapy for women who have undergone mastectomy to address persistent physical and psychological comorbidities. The need arises from postoperative depression and wound pain that hinder their daily activities and quality of life. Qualitative and quantitative methods were employed for the research, ranging from a systematic review (PRISMA) of preclinical and clinical studies to documentary and bibliographic reviews. The assessment demonstrates that this research contributes to therapeutic and preventive physical culture by achieving a reduction in depression scores and improvement in body image, along with a decrease in inflammatory markers associated with lymphedema, enriching phase II trials to standardize protocols. The various aspects grounded in the theoretical framework are consistent with the evaluative results obtained, facilitating the implementation of this protocol for the recovery of mastectomized women.
