RECREATIONAL ALTERNATIVE FOR THE OCCUPATION OF THE FREE TIME IN CHILDREN OF 7 TO 12 YEARS

Abstract

This research was carried out with children form District 108 at Lenin neighborhood, with the objective of elaborating a recreational alternative for leisure time activities for children from 7 to 12 years old through the work of the community activist. The methods used were the empirical, theoretical and mathematical statistical to diagnose the present situation regarding this topic, and prove the effectiveness of the proposal on the selected sample, in a 12 months period. This alternative is endowed to occupy children’s leisure time with healthy recreational activities. Through the obtained results, this research helped to solve one of the present times problems, the use of free time, the experiment provided technicians and activists with the necessary elements from the didactic and methodological point of view which strengthen up the organizational processes of communitary physical recreation to solve, through creative initiatives, the limitations of material resources.
