Abstract

The present article contains results on an investigation aimed to determine, through a diagnostic study, what inadequacies are present in students taking Physical Culture studies and belonging to the FUM in the resolution of problems of Mechanics, as a base for accomplishing a fit level of knowledge in the matter of Biomechanics. Using the historical – logical, analytic – synthetic, inductive – deductive methods, polls, interviews, a systematic – structural – functional light, a starting and ending diagnostic and experts criteria, the following purposed objective was accomplished: to elaborate a methodology that will favor the learning process of Biomechanics, through solving problems of Mechanics. The above mentioned allows homogenization of the methodological line followed by teachers of the Universalization in order to introduce problem solving methods in the learning – teaching process of matters closely related to Physics. As a result it was found that a Historical Cultural light, Significant Learning and contemporary Physics Didactics allow sustaining the proposal, meanwhile a tendency to pertinence and accuracy of this methodology is observed.

Key words: Problem solving, Mechanics, Biomechanics, Dynamic methods.
