Abstract
The orientation and control of the independent work of the student it’s of vital importance for the nowadays Cuban University and the Physical Culture has been in a continuous improvement of their curriculum and their didactic conceptions. The methodological work has been revitalized within the pedagogical groups with the objective of finding solutions to the new challenges. From the outlook of semi-attendance modality as main form of teaching organization in this faculty, it is considered that the teacher should go further and analyze not only the lessons but also independent work that the students should develop with the aim of  achieving independent learning and acquiring the needed self-study skills. For achieving this there are some proposals of practical teaching tasks that can be assigned to the students as independent work with the purpose to help them to use "forms of logical and reflexive thought", and to develop the cognitive independence.ÂÂ
