Abstract

This article summarizes the results of research developed by the authors about the sport training given to the deaf sport men and the level of communicative competence of coaches when using the sign language. As a result of the investigation they propose some theoretical reflections about how important is the bilingual communication towards deaf people and how it is the more accurate way of understanding and transmitting information so as to assure a communicative process as a base for a more effective and successful training process and sport results.

Key words. Communicative competence, bilingual model of communication.
