MORPHOLOGICAL PROFILE IN BOXERS OF THE COUNTY HOLGUIN

Abstract

One of the aspects fewer studied and taken into account in the constant improvement of the programs of the sportsman's preparation in the disciplines of the boxing it there is been it with respect to the athlete's morphological profile. Among their main components he/she i the somatotipo that dog offer information of great importance, it doesn't only stop the selection of the future talents, but for the planning and the control of the loads of training. For this investigation he/she decided to carry out to study of their behavior in boxers that concerns in school categories and their incidence in the competitive results. The sample of 124 boxers of the 13-14 years-old school category was used that participated in the school games of the years 1998 and 1999, to those that he/she was determined the somatotipo through the method conceived by Heath and Crankcase in 1967 and perfected in later years. The analysis of the obtained results starting from the statistical prosecution of the information allowed to characterize the behavior of the somatotipo in the selected sample, as well as to explores the incidence of this parameter in the sport result.
