THE CHI-KUNG AND THE BLOOD PRESSURE IN 3RD AGE

Abstract

A descriptive longitudinal research work was made based on the measurement of the blood pressure in a group of 17 patients of the 3  years. The group was composed by 6 men and 11 women. All of them performed exercises belonging to Chikung. Zhiang Zhan Gong and Taichichi-kung of Li school consecutively during 5 months (Feb- Jun 2001).  The key elements of the exercises and their positive influence in the standardization of the blood pressure of good levels are presented in this paper.  9 patients reached notable results, in 7 of them the betterment was moderated and only kept hyper tense. The life quality, in general, increased.
