MUSIC-MOVEMENT COORDINATION IN RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS ATHLETES, HOLGUÍN CATEGORY 7 YEARS

Abstract

This paper addresses the problem of how to improve the athletes of Rhythmic Gymnastics music-movement coordination. The sample consisted of twenty athletes of categories 7 of the sports area of Holguin, applying the theoretical, empirical and statistical methods. It is part of the implementation of an initial test to assess the same, consisting of testing rhythm, coordination and improvisation, thus capturing the rhythm, hearing acuity, creativity and expression of the athletes was measured. Considering the results were developed and implemented activities with a duration of fifteen minutes, given in three weekly at the end of choreography, for five months. At the end of this stage, a second measurement is carried out, the results obtained demonstrate the positive changes, due to the given activities, so it is recommended to apply to athletes of Rhythmic Gymnastics.
