Tai Chi Chuan program for the physical rehabilitation of patients underwent surgery of breast cancer
Abstract
The Neoplasia illnesses constitute, at world level, one of the first causes of the mortality having the invasive breast cancer as the most frequent in the women. The diversity of treatments causes lesions in the healthy tissues and it produces secondary effects with possibilities of causing a decrease in the functional capacity. Practice exercises has been suggested by many investigators as a rehabilitation solution; with the representation of the Tai JiQuan being more and more popular among the patients with this illness. It is required to elaborate a program of Tai Ji Quan, yang style that favors the physical rehabilitation of the functional capacity in underwent surgery patients of breast cancer. A study of transverse and quantitative character was carried out in a selected sample in an intentional way; it was carried with 36 underwent surgery women of breast cancer valuing the joint mobility of fore limb. It was demonstrated by means of the socialization workshop the viability of the program of Tai JiQuan, for the physical rehabilitation of underwent surgery of breast cancer.
