The formation of professional skills in physical education and sports training careers. Theoretical reflections
Abstract
The universities of Ecuador are called to a constant update of the curricula, study programs and didactic strategies to achieve relevance and competences in the training of future professionals and the Universidad Técnica del Norte (UTN) is not unaware of this. In the particular case of the professionals of Physical Education and Sports Training they must be able to master the new knowledge and techniques that propel the dynamic development of their sphere of action; prepared to face the great challenges present in physical education, sports training, health, recreation and civic education. For that reason, we reflect on the theoretical conceptions about the professional profile, the professional competences in the contemporary training processes and on the methodological strategies in the formation, that allow to realize the strategic purposes of the UTN in Ecuador.
