Training anticipation capacity in football
Abstract
The anticipation in sports, or the ability to predict future events from information from previous movements of other athletes, is one of the most relevant perceptual skills for the performance of certain sports activities that require a rapid and accurate response. In football, many authors consider that the anticipation is the tactical action performed by the player modifying his position with respect to his opponent who expects to receive the ball, in order to prevent it from receiving it. Given the importance of this ability in today's football, the present work is carried out with the objective of reflecting on the theoretical and methodological foundations that underpin the training of the capacity of anticipation in football.
Key words: football, capacity of anticipation
