Study on the main causes that affect the incorporation of the elderly to the circle of grandparents

Abstract

Cuba draws policies for the elderly, where physical activity contributes to improving the health and functional capacity of these people. Hence the importance of this work aimed at knowing the main causes that affect the incorporation of older adults in the consulting room No.6 of Camilo Cienfuegos, in the municipality of Habana del Este, to the circle of grandparents corresponding to that territory. To this end, a group of methods and investigative techniques were used, among which stand out: analysis and synthesis, documentary analysis and statistical mathematics within this table of empirical frequency distribution. As part of the investigation, 12 observations were made to the classes corresponding to the grandfather circle of the aforementioned clinic and two surveys family doctor and physical culture specialist. The methods previously reflected enabled the processing and verification of the necessary data and the interpretation of the results obtained, standing out among the main causes that affect the incorporation of older adults into the circle of grandparents under study, the use of traditional exercises with little variability, little knowledge about the benefits of physical activity brings in the older adult, little family support and the schedule in which the circle of grandparents develops coincides with other responsibilities granted by the family.
