Handbook for therapeutic physical care in elderly adults with hip fracture
Abstract
The gradual increase of the elderly population in Cuba and the life prospects for that population group, demonstrates the need for the integral development of these older adults. In this, geriatric care becomes a national health policy, strengthening the pathways of therapeutic physical treatment resorts to immediate work, taking into account the conditions of the osteomioarticular system and the psyche of the human being. This study shows a therapeutic physical manual for the treatment of patients with hip fractures in the elderly from home. Its main objective is the preparation of this manual to provide the professional of the physical culture with a methodological tool that complements the objectives framed in said proposal for community physical care. The research carried out proposes a therapeutic physical manual for hip fracture treatment for older adults. The proposal establishes guidance and training actions on practical elements for community physical activity professionals. The use of different theoretical and empirical methods for the collection and analysis of the data obtained, which allows the diagnosis to be made. The manual in your order allows you to improve the methods and procedures used in physical rehabilitation in hip fracture for patients bedridden from home care in older adults. In its structure it has two stages the convalescent and the chronic detailing each action to follow during the therapeutic physical process in this condition. The proposal is identified with a medical - pedagogical nature and responds to general and individual needs corresponding to current trends in the world regarding the care and treatment of the elderly with a hip fracture.
