Abstract

Ne-waza or judo on the ground is a field little studied by researchers, since it has been preceded by the tachi-waza that covers a greater volume of techniques, it is where combat begins and enjoys a greater preference by judo athletes due to the spectacular nature of the projections. Cuban judo has had an obstacle in the performance of competitions, which has gravitated to poor performances in competitions on the ground. Young judo students imitate this bad example by focusing only their effort on the tachi-waza where they feel safer. Insufficiencies in the technical preparation of junior athletes in the ne-waza influenced the development of this research, which objective aims at developing a program that would promote technical training in their ne-waza. A sample of 72 competitors, 20 coaches and 14 experts, who met the established requirements, was selected out of 7 provinces. Theoretical, empirical and statistical-mathematical methods, as well as techniques were used; which allowed determining qualitative and quantitative elements that favored the fulfillment of the objective. As a result, the technical training program for the elaborated ne-waza contains objective, fundamentals, stages, contents and methodological indications. It is flexible, adaptable and reconciles what the student needs and demands from the professional, since it encourages the development of skills and technical mastery of such competitor, and assumes the pedagogical principles in its structuring.
