Research completed and developed in the context of the strategic management and administration process at the Santiago de Cuba Provincial Sports Unit. Its objective consisted in the analysis of the contribution of Political Economy as a theoretical methodological base in the solution of insufficiencies related to the strategic management knowledge of the provincial managers of Physical Culture in their social praxis. The main results refer to the Marxist-Leninist Political Economy, whose theoretical-methodological base supports and guarantees a better understanding of the Strategic Direction and the distribution law according to the quantity and quality of the work provided.
