Diabetes Mellitus is one of the endocrine-metabolic disorders of worldwide health issues because it directly affects the quality of life of the individuals suffering from it. The frequency of appearance increases with age. Aging brings about degeneration of muscles, ligaments, bones, and articulations; and along with diabetes may aggravate other diseases. The present research analyzed the importance of knowing this disease in elder persons; that is why it aims at preparing a training based on therapeutic physical exercises to treat the elders suffering from diabetes type II from La Socapa Community, Santiago de Cuba; which guarantees the decrease of medicine use at the time it improves their quality of life. Empirical methods like the survey and the interview were used. In general, these patients' quality of life was increased through the improvement of their physical-emotional state of being; thus contributing to their comprehensive formation and their full incorporation into society.
