Rehabilitation of equilibrium, a challenge for the elderly
Keywords:
Equilibrium, physical therapeutic activities and persons of the third ageAbstract
The pre-experimental study with Action Participation (AP) is aimed at retaining the deterioration of balance in the elderly. A manual of community therapeutic physical activities is proposed as a guide for the fulfillment of the objective. In the research, theoretical, empirical and mathematical-statistical methods were used, as well as the use of techniques that allowed to identify that 100 % of the sample presented a balance disorder due to its deterioration. After the execution of the manual of physical therapy activities in the community context, 11 adults of the third age are rehabilitated for 78.5%, which show a normal sensory condition which translates into an improvement of balance disorders.
