Abstract

gradually develops these young people towards High Competitive Performance (ARC by its Spanish acronym). In this sense, this article presents the High Competitive Achievements Category (ALC by its Spanish acronym) in three levels (school, junior and youth categories); within it is established 100 yd for the school category, as well as the minimum times for each level. The Functional Pyramid of this category is also included, which will contribute to the development strategy of the sprinter in Cuba. The research is supported by the documentary review and analysis, to obtain competitive results at these ages in the Central, South American, and Cuban areas. The historical-logical analysis was used to study the speed discipline of the country, and statistical research techniques to obtain the minimum times at this stage of development. The proposal of the High Competitive Achievement category as a strategy will help to improve the organization of this sport, and the future results of the young sprinters in the achievement of a world High Competitive Performance.
