Abstract

The boxer's preparation entails physiological changes and adaptations to guarantee the immense physical, mental and social loads to which its practitioners have been subjected. After this stage, sports detraining appears, whose nature is eminently pedagogical and consists of uninstalling the components that guaranteed the accumulation of loads during his stage as an active boxer, until reaching the levels of a normal systematic practitioner of Physical Culture. This process has been investigated with the purpose of developing a pedagogical strategy based on a model of the same nature detraining enhanced with the use of prophylactic equine-interaction, based on the use of the horse as an element of change. Empirical and technical methods were used: observation of sports detraining sessions, document analysis, survey of former boxers, trainers, sports doctors, officials and selected experts, as well as critical opinion and socialization workshops among boxing trainers. As results, a pedagogical model was obtained from which a strategy of the same nature was derived. These contributions were verified through the partial application of the strategy in a sports team, in Majibacoa, Las Tunas, demonstrating its feasibility to be generalized
