Sports pedagogy: the introduction of scientific results in the training of athletes

Abstract

The training of athletes constitutes an activity of great importance to which special attention is paid in Cuba; not only because of its decisive role in achieving quality sports results, but also and fundamentally because the great educational value of practicing sports is recognized, hence this process is considered a pedagogical problem for the solution of which it is necessary to introduce and generalize the scientific results achieved in educational research; this article deals with this matter. It reflects on the process of introducing the scientific results of the Master's Program in Sports Pedagogy at the Universidad de Oriente, assessing its achievements and shortcomings and revealing its potential to provide solutions to the main problems identified by the science management, technology, innovation and environment of INDER. For its development used general theoretical methods such as analysis - synthesis and induction - deduction, to process the information contained in the literature on the subject, in addition to documentary analysis and interviews with coordinators and teachers of the program. As a result of the analysis, the program's conception of the introduction of scientific results is assessed and a preliminary diagnosis of its state in practice is presented.
