Therapeutic physical activity program to reduce body fat among employees of Casa del Médico

Considering the guidelines of the World Health Organization, many aspects must be taken into account when planning physical activity for people with obesity. It is not enough to simply do physical exercise; it must be planned, structured, dosed, evaluated, and linked to specific nutrition, allowing us to positively impact the physical condition of obese individuals. This research aims to design a physical conditioning program to reduce body fat mass index (BMI) in employees of the company Casa del Médico. The research approach is non-experimental and descriptive, applying documentary analysis, structural-functional systemic analysis, and expert judgment. Theoretical frameworks are analyzed to identify the elements involved in reducing body fat mass in obese patients and to design a therapeutic physical activity program. The program was evaluated by selected experts, yielding a satisfactory assessment for subsequent implementation.
