PHILOSOPHY AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION: A THEORETICAL APPROACH WITH PROFOUND IMPLICATIONS PRACTICES

Abstract

The paper presents a theoretical framework of contemporary philosophical reflection on the approach to physical education (as sphere of knowledge and discipline of the school curriculum) as a resource for solving the problems now is the same in many countries. Despite the global recognition of the value of physical education, yet it is found in practice a resistance to develop a "Focus Physical Integral Education" as he called Professor Alejandro Lopez, allowing deploy all their formative potentialities from recognizing which he is the professor of this specialty which is closer to the school in its real dimension (intellectual, emotional, behavioral and motor). An empirical study to demonstrate the low level of knowledge about this content teachers in three Latin American countries and at the same time a very favorable towards the reflection on the philosophical problems of physical education attitude is also presented.
