Abstract

Flexibility is a physical capacity of great importance in man's life to guarantee the fluidity of movements, a better assimilation of motor habits and a better recovery of the organism to different loads. Physical Education constitutes a fundamental process in the development of this capacity. However, the limited treatment on how to use it in class, the lack of professionals in this area, along with the results of the tests developed to the students, motivated the present research. It aims at designing exercises to improving the flexibility of the glenohumeral joint in sixth grade students, within the Physical Education classes from the 59 School, Lubango, Huila. Theoretical, empirical and statistical mathematical methods were used along the research. It is proposed a system structure integrating theoretical aspects such as the objective, diagnosis, exercises, methods, plan and teaching suggestions based on the developed diagnosis; to compensate the weaknesses revealed in the development of such capacity in the aforementioned school.
