Abstract

Sports initiation in baseball has been limited in the fulfillment of the goals and objectives in which its theory is based, due to a tendency to become the undisputed champion. The present research aims to develop a strategy to promote the integration of the family in the initial training of baseball players. For this purpose, theoretical-methodological foundations were used; aspects that serve as the basis for designing an integration strategy to this process that contributes to the comprehensive training of the athlete from its initial stage. Theoretical, empirical and mathematical statistical methods were used. The theoretical methods used were the logical historical, to determine the evolution over time of the studies on the topic addressed, as well as the synthetic analytic, and the inductive deductive, to determine the theoretical-methodological referents. Empirical methods used inlcude observation, interview and survey, as well as the nominal group technique. A simple random sample was chosen from a population composed of three teams from the 7–8-year-old child category of the Sancti Spíritus municipality. The application of the strategy based on the proposed design helps to develop a sports environment linked to the integration of the family in the initial training process of the baseball player that allows to develop personal identity and impart new cultural knowledge that contributes to sports training.
