Methodological workshops to promote active reading in university students of Physical Culture.
Keywords:
active reading; workshops; physical cultureAbstract
The results obtained from the application of methodological workshops to teachers of the Physical Culture career were analyzed to promote active reading in students with the use of texts of the specialty. The diagnosis made showed that the treatment given by the pedagogical group to this subject is limited, in addition there are insufficiencies related to the little development of oral expression, poor vocabulary, insufficient reading of bibliographies to develop their independent works, as well as little development of expressive skills. The data was processed using theoretical methods (analysis-synthesis, theoretical-practical) of the empirical ones (Survey of teachers and students, interview, participant observation). The theme is sustained in the light of the different applied instruments, which are based on the theoretical, psychological, methodological and philosophical foundations of active reading. The proposal is based on the possibility of involving students and teachers. The experience allows the student to appropriate elements of great cultural value that they lack and makes them aware of the need to read as one of the ways to acquire a comprehensive general culture that promotes quality in the graduate.
