Style manual

1. Manuscripts can be submitted in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

2. The text must be written in any version of word, using Times New Roman, font size should be 12, 1.5 line spacing applied, and 2.5 cm margins on all sides. Use Letter page with 21.59 cm x 27.94 cm dimensions. Maxim length of the submission will vary depending on this journal policy sections (Consult Policy section). The International System of Measures and decimal period (.) will be used as stated by the Spanish Academy within the Spanish Language Spelling (Ortografía de la lengua española) to separate decimals.

3. The title should be brief, accurate and clear (preferably no longer than 15 words) evidencing the most significant aspects of the work. This is a very important part of the article because it will catch the possible future reader´s attention. Avoid using phrases such as research about, study about, formulas, abbreviations as well. It will give a precise idea of the content of the article and allow its retrieval and indexing. Titles and subheadings will be in bold, and text aligned to the left. Do not use period. Upper case should only be used for the first letter of sentences or words. It is translated into Spanish and Portuguese.

4. The abstract is a short structured text in a single paragraph up to 250 words. Its structure varies regarding the journal’s policy section. There will be no cites included, neither tables, nor numbers, nor referencing or mathematical expressions. Its English and Portuguese translations must be included.

5. Keywords: they are needed for the information retrieval. Up to five words will be enough; like in the abstract, must be in both English and Portuguese. They will appear right after the abstract in the corresponding language. The following thesaurus are recommended:

6. Figures (images, graphs, photos or maps) are high definition images and you must save them in .jpg extension. Likewise, they will be referenced within the text. Both the font and the title will be edited. They will be created regarding the APA 7th version (Consult Author guidelines. Figures: components, number, image, captions, notes, location of figures in the text, how to cite the figure in the text).

7. Tables will be edited. Likewise, they must be already referenced in the text. Both the font and the title will be edited. They will be created regarding APA 7th version (consult Author guidelines. Tables: number, title, headings, body, note, table borders, font face and size and line and paragraph spacing, table location, long or wide tables, how to write the title in a table, how to cite tables in the text).

8. Each type of article published in this journal has its own characteristics in relation to its structure; that are stated in the policy section.

9. Referencing will include all the needed information to allow any reader who may want so, retrieve the documents cited in the text. The information will be accurate, reason why it is important to check the registered data within the referencing section. Respect the way they appear in the original sources and how they are referenced in the text. They both must coincide. Reference only all those documents cited and paraphrased in the text.

10. All the abbreviations, acronyms and symbols mentioned in the text will be declared only the first time they are mentioned. After that, there is no need for you to explain them again.

11. Authors must declare their conflicts of interest, if any, include it in the originality letter. Consult Role and responsibility of the authors, contributors, editors and reviewers.

12. All the rights of the work regarding its electronic and universal distribution and in every language are transferred to the journal DeporVida; which is stated in the copyright letter once the submission is accepted.
