Abstract

This research has as its starting point the insufficient scientific production of the Cuban taekwondo researchers for the professional training process of undergraduate students and that applied sciences should be used to perfect the planning of sports training and 4th Level studies (postgraduate). The proposed objective consisted of contributing to the scientific production for the professional training of the undergraduate students and the 4th Level (postgraduate) courses in taekwondo through the development of a complementary textbook, based on applied sciences for the referred professional training process. Theoretical and empirical methods were used; in the second chapter, the measurement was based on muscle power, competitive anxiety through a test, maximum oxygen consumption, complex reaction time, heart rate, work capacity and cardiovascular efficiency index. The Delphi method was used to validate the relevance of the proposed text The Sciences Applied to High Performance Taekwondo, which has two chapters. Its feasibility was corroborated, which led to the deepening of the knowledge of the sciences applied to high performance taekwondo.
