Abstract

At the Pedro Díaz Coello School of Sports Initiation in Holguín, the role of the teacher goes  beyond the transmission of physical and technical  skills. The teacher becomes a key  cultural promoter in shaping values, identities,  and social commitments among Primary  Education children. At this formative stage, the  primary school teacher instructs, educates,  accompanies, and models. This article reflects on  the teacher’s role as a cultural promoter,  highlighting how their influence extends beyond  training to become a driving force for identity,  values, and cultural belonging in the lives of  future athletes.
