Methodological Strategy for the Pedagogical Competence Overcoming of the Volleyball Coach

Abstract

The objective of the research was to propose a methodological strategy for overcoming the pedagogical competence of the Volleyball coach who works in the initial training area from Holguín, to face the current training conditions in the elementary school category. A sample of 15 Volleyball coaches out of those working with such category was selected. The theoretical methods used were: the historico-logical, analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction and the systemic-structural-functional. Among the empirical, the observation and analysis of documents, the criterion of specialists, in addition to the unstructured interview technique were also applied. The statistical procedure was the percentage calculation. From the application of these methods, the diagnostic of the overcoming current state was obtained in relation to the pedagogical competence of these Volleyball coaches that work with this category. On this basis and the theoretical systematization, the methodological strategy was elaborated, which once applied would allow the enhancement of their preparation to face the sports training process, which can be extended to other coaches who perform similar functions in sports.
