About the Journal
DeporVida is a national and international scientific electronic journal from the University of Holguin, Cuba. It was launched in 2004 by the Information Sports Center from the Sports Higher Institute Manuel Fajardo, then the Holguin Campus, today Sports Campus Manuel Fajardo. With ISSN 19-4028, publishes original articles concerning the areas of Physical Education and Recreation, Sports, Physical and Preventive Culture, and Applied Sciences; likewise, the professional training to contribute with the formation and scientific updating of professionals and specialized readers in these branches of the human knowledge. Its vision is to become a national and international journal referent, in constant development with high-quality content. It assumes values such as impartiality, and veracity.
Along with these aims and scope, DeporVida massively publishes as part of an issue, full text, in Spanish, English, and Portuguese scholarly contributions. Its articles are original, revision, and reflective works. It is a continuous publication, which means works are received throughout the year, and content will be made available as it meets the standards of rigor derived from peer reviews and refereeing, as well as the level of originality and ethics throughout the process.
No APC charges apply to authors and/or institutions for review, processing, evaluation, or publication of articles.
Scientific articles submitted for publication are reviewed by subject matter experts using the open peer review method, as a quality assurance procedure and in line with the journal´s mission. Authors and reviewers, who work as a team and communicate with each other. We will accept articles posted on preprint servers.
The final audience is teachers, researchers, and the students´ community within the country and abroad, professionals from these areas in general; besides all who are interested in increasing their knowledge in this scope of science.
